Bipartisan Bill in the U.S. Senate Could Rein in the Cameroon Regime

APOCS supports S.Res. 684, which was introduced on September 8, 2020, by a bipartisan slate of thirteen US senators led by Senator James Risch (R-ID) and Senator Benjamin Cardin (D-MD). It has since picked up 3 additional co-sponsors, including Congressional Black Caucus member Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ). Click here for an updated list of co-sponsors.

We are gratified that many of the changes we recommended in our campaign to “Fix and Pass” its predecessor bill, S.Res. 292 have been incorporated into S.Res. 684. The new bill still has some factual inaccuracies and misleading language, which we have detailed in this annotated version of the bill.

However in our opinion, this bill has a strong potential of passing, and we believe it would help our people.

Therefore, we are calling on all US-based Ambazonians and allies to call on your Senator to urge them to support and co-sponsor this bill.
